Prayer Guidelines and Goals
CasperPrayer.org is intended to be an interactive way to concentrate effective prayer for the city and region. We encourage, and indeed cherish, input from individuals and groups who regularly pray for Casper on any level. Input is gathered via the online Submit Prayer form.
We hope to hear from the people who feel particularly burdened and called to pray for Casper. It is our belief that the people who faithfully pray for their city will develop in understanding the heart of God for that city. We understand that many who are called to pray are “behind the scenes.” We also believe that God rewards what is done in secret. What you hear the Spirit saying to the church is important to the Body of Christ and we want to hear your insights.
It should be noted that we want to facilitate prayer that reflects God’s heart and God’s wisdom for this city. While it is helpful to understand the opposition against God’s will, it is hoped that time and prayer will be given to finding out God’s answer to existing problems- over simply stating the problems. For more on that topic see “Crafted Prayer” on the Resources page.
In order to maintain the focus of this site, we generally do not publish individual’s prayer needs. We encourage active participation within a local congregation for individual prayer needs.
We fully expect this site to take on a flavor and culture of its own as it develops and grows. It is difficult to monitor an undertaking such as this. It is the hope of the founders of this site that people who pray for this city will be encouraged, better connected, and know that it is possible to pray in unity across denominational lines.
All valid input will be posted (given time constraints). Negative, damaging, slanderous or offensive input will NOT be posted. For more details see our Public Communication Policy.
Please keep in mind that the content of posted submissions is viewable by the general public. Refrain from using names or any information that would be considered private. Links to other URL’s will not be posted.
Examples of acceptable input would include:
- Portions of scripture to pray. The more specific the better. It may be targeted to a specific event, part of town, or social sector Insight and thoughts on prayer needs of the city and region
- Thanksgiving for answered prayer
- Reminders of important, key political, social and church events to cover in prayer (ie; elections, school starting, local events etc.)
- Prayer for families and children
- Prayer for city and church leaders (in general, not by name)
- Prayer for social concerns
To start the site off, we have included some posts on the Current Prayer Points page.
