Casper Prayer.org was born out of the belief that prayer effects change. We wanted to create a place where people who want to pray for this city and the surrounding areas could gather together and talk about what the Spirit of God is saying to His people regarding how and what to pray for Casper, Wyoming.

We were aware of small prayer groups which meet in various places and times in the city, but it seemed that these groups were unaware of each other, or at least did not communicate on a regular basis. As professionals in the web design and development field we thought “Hey, why not create a virtual meeting place for these folks? Here we are with the tools to do it, so let’s do it!”

As Christians we believe that unity in prayer is a powerful thing and perhaps our unity in the Spirit could be facilitated by communicating the various themes of prayer which God has highlighted to various groups and individuals. Scripture says we all see in part and know in part, so getting those parts together will give us a better picture of what God is saying to us regarding prayer for Casper. We invite you to use the information on this site in your personal prayer closet as well as small group and church prayer times.

A secondary reason for CasperPrayer.org is to facilitate the “passing of the torch.” Some prayer groups and pray-ers have been praying for this city for decades. Those of us coming along behind you want to know what you have learned and what God has shown you. We also want to applaud your perseverance in prayer and support the work that has already been done. Similarly, we want to encourage and inspire the pray-ers coming up behind us to give themselves to praying for this city.

We understand that oftentimes people of prayer lead a “behind the scenes” work, but that work is vital to the purposes of God being carried out in our midst. This is your place, your opportunity to communicate and fellowship with like minded believers, your place to find agreement for prayer for this city. Take it and run with it!
